Grief and Bereavement
As your Grief counselor I offer guided support and education throughout the bereavement process. There will be conversations about the deceased, dynamics of the relationship, and activities to help reduce the negative impact of the symptoms.
It is a process and a you will need time to reflect and adjust to living without the loved one. Grief can be complex and confusing. Sometimes it can be overwhelming and painful and we don’t want to burden those around us with our sadness and uncontrollable emotions.
Loss of a loved one is very personal, complicated and messy. We tend to try to isolate ourselves and grieve on our own but then that may bring up symptoms such as loneliness, overwhelming sadness, loss of sleep, lack of energy, overeating or loss of appetite.
And, if there are other family members experiencing grief at the same time it may create a home life that can seem surreal.
Let me journey with you through your grieving process. I can help guide you along the journey with talk therapy, art therapy and other modalities for healing. I can teach you some things to help you reduce the stress and anxiety, get a good nights sleep and help move through the loneliness.
